This Ginger property was started in September 2006 and is a new concept in the hotel industry. It has a total of 4 floors including the ground floor and houses a total of 100 rooms. The exterior is a signature orange colour with Ginger written in big vertically and the interiors have splashes of orange as well. All Ginger properties are non smoking properties, within or outside the rooms.
Lobby:
White tiles flooring is seen in the lobby and reception. To some it may seem more like a corporate office rather than a hotel. It sports a steel and wood reception counter with a wall paneling behind which has the logo of the hotel on it. A seating space in front of the reception is furnished with a large oval wooden table and brown leather sofas. There is a glass partition behind this seating space which forms a distinction between the restaurant and lobby. There is one yellow wall in the reception which adds more colour to the space.
Rooms:
The Ginger Hotel has a total of 100 rooms which are categorised into Single rooms, Double rooms and Twin rooms. All the rooms and washrooms are identical except for the beds in each room. The facilities offered within the rooms are cable television, tea/coffee maker, 2 bottles of mineral water complimentary every day, mini refrigerator, 24 hour hot & cold water, direct dial STD/ISD telephones, housekeeping and soap and shampoo in the washrooms. All the rooms are tiles and furnished with light wood furniture which is kept to the minimum. One wall in each room is a separate bright colour. There is a full length mirror, study table with a black swivel chair and a bed with a wooden headboard. The Double rooms have a double bed, single rooms with a single bed and the twin rooms with a double bed separated.
Services & Facilities:
Each floor of the hotel also has a guest pantry where the guests can iron their own clothes and get more water for their rooms from the dispenser here. The hotel also has trolleys for you to keep your luggage on and service yourself. There is a Meeting Room which can accommodate 10 people and is well lit with halogen lights. A white board is mounted on the wall at one end. All equipment like audio visual equipment is provided at an extra charge. A gymnasium is present in the premises which is open 24 hours for the convenience of the guests and can be availed free of charge. It offers weights, a treadmill and a medicine ball along with music playing through out. There is also a Safe Zone in the reception where guests can avail the lockers for their valuables at an extra charge. Other facilities available here include laundry service, Wi Fi internet connection, currency exchange facility and vending machines equipped with an array of products ranging from juices to toiletries. This 24-hour service saves you the trouble of stepping out of the hotel for a purchase.All these facilities are provided at the Ginger Hotel and this is a perfect economical space for you and your family or friends if you don't want much fuss and want to be left alone.
Location:
The Ginger Hotel is located 1 kilometre from the bus station, 4 kilometres from the railway station, half a kilometre from Karanji Lake and just 1 kilometre from the Zoo. It is very centrally located and all is in close proximity.

| I found the place bit compressed & compact since there was hardly any space inside the room to move. No hot water circulation during morning hence had had to ask for hot water in buckets & it was served after three reminders. Not satisfactory actually. |
| The first sight when you enter the room - a neat and well maintained impeccable room. The white bed and the color of walls gelled completely. Amenities provided were just like home - if you need anything you can get from a kitchen type room in the corridor. There will be no one to take your luggage to your room but that was not of any issue. Food variety was excellent. They offered discounts for people staying there - some 25-30%. You can also get food from outside - no one will stop you or ask you. The ambience outside the hotel was also cool and composed with natural greenery everywhere. The check in time is 12 o clock but even if you reach there at 8 in the morning they would not mind giving you the room. Staff will sit only at the reception but they were very jovial, friendly & helping. Overall - 4.8/5. |

| Picked this hotel from website and was pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel. As it was the Xmas period the hotel was full and as our flight was late we were the last to book in which meant there was only one room which was at the front of the hotel. The staff were on the phone all the time which was annoying but when I asked to move there was no where they could move me to and promised to move us next day which they did. The hotel buffet was good and reasonable as was the breakfast choice.As the hotel had an atrium this meant that the noise of the children running round carried but once they went to bed it was quiet inside. The rooms are clean and bright with a plasma TV and good value for money |

Either hot or cold water was available. -Good food available at reasonable rates. -Location of the hotel is also good as it is centrally located. -Sewing kit was not available in the room and it was not provided even on demand when i needed it urgently. -Overall, a good hotel to stay at. |

| The place is very very good as far as its neatness is concerned. Our double/twin room was very small, even the bed size was too small for comfort. The mattresses too could have been of better quality. Apart from that the room had all the required amenities, like A/C & LCD TV etc. Also the room service & the food served were up to mark. | Ginger Hotels are best suited for people who HATE to be serviced excessively. The hotel is clean and beautifully designed. The ambiance all round - rooms, corridors, dining area, reception is excellent. I have stayed at the Mysore Ginger Hotel twice - three days on each occasion. The quality of service has not gone down, infact they now have room service and a coffee day inside their premises. The cost might seem a little high but the value you get is certainly more and appropriate for staying with the whole family. |
| There were no complaints whatsoever during our stay here. The hotel is well located. Our room was well equipped, the staff members seemed to have worked hard on it. The food quality too was good. We are satisfied. |
| You will find red signs all over the city helping you find the Ginger hotel. Follow the arrows pointing upward. If the arrow is pointing down, turn around. If you head east out of Harding circle you will find it. |

| The tag line reads - “Please help yourselves!”. If you believe this to be true you are in for a rude shock. Check in is handled by the staff behind the reception counter. And it takes quite a while. It took them forty minutes for them to check me in. The reason for the inordinate delay? A software glitch, apparently. If the check in wasn’t painful enough a filthy room was allotted. The housekeeping staff had forgotten to clean the room. When this was pointed out to the staff at the reception they suggested an alternate room. Only that the alternate room was as filthy as the first one! This was repeated with two more rooms. Finally, the fifth room was found to be clean and I checked in. Each time I left my room and wanted to re enter I had to seek the help of the housekeeping staff. This because the smart key allotted to me was not working. It was pointless carrying the high tech card with me. Rude staff. At one point I inquired about tourist places near Ginger. The gentleman at the reception counter had the audacity to point towards the cyber centre and ask me search for it on the Internet. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. This is one annoying fact that has been overlooked. Take a shower and you will be groping around in the mist. The air conditioner was a tiny wall mounted unit that made noise inversely proportional to its size. The racket will keep most awake. I had to switch it off to be able to sleep. Café Coffee Day it the only option for snacks. There is a restaurant attached that isn’t worth its salt. |
| The hotel was situated in a serene place. All the way through hoardings guides you to the hotel. Its proximity to Zoo, Palace and other places of interest is great, yet the place is quite calm. The rooms are simple and great. Help yourself concept is good and no unnecessary disturbances. All staff are cordial and cooperative. Infact we had a flat tyre at the hotel, the maintenance and security guys were good in helping us out. Over all a good overnight stay. Good hotel. |
| The toiletries not provided by the hotel. The room was neat & clean. The A/c was fine, but it does not cool as much as one needs. There are no much varieties for the food in the restaurant. The 24Hours Coffe Day shop concept was fine, but we did not liked paying cash then n there since we checked-in at 2am we were asked to pay the Cash, so at that time we drove to the ATM & drew the cash which was inconvenience. |

| Overall it was a bad experience. Reception was very bad, we felt as if we are entering a government guest house or charity guest house. Room and bathroom were literally stinking. Even after our repeated requests the concerned staff has not given any heed to our request. Restaurant was absolutely bad- in terms of food offered and the service. I suggest the management to send these guys to GINGER pondicherry or GINGER Trivendrum. |
| Ginger hotel provides a standardized atmosphere, i.e. the rooms are neat and tidy and well ventilated and one will not be disappointed. The hotel is also designed as well. However at Rs. 2600/- incl of taxes, there are hotels in Mysore that can offer much more. The rooms were very very small , probably about 150 sq feet, just enough for a queen size bed to fit in. The restaurant offered veg lunch and dinner options at Rs. 180 /- per head and breakfast at Rs. 100/- or so and this could be made cheaper. It would have been great if a low priced veg thali could be offered to guests. |
| It is a nice budget hotel and well within the proximity to several tourist spots like the Mysore Palace, Lalith Mahal Palace hotel as well as Chamundi hills. I would recommend this hotel if you are not very particular about the food as there is only one restaurant which offers buffet service only. |

| My worst experience ever in a 3 star hotel was at Ginger. There was no room service, we had to carry our luggages on our own, no good food and as a result I had to go out for dinner at around 11 pm in the night. They only promote Cafe Coffee Day for snacks. There was no breakfast available in the room and tea/coffee maker in the room was out of order. To make things worst inspite of requesting for check out an hour earlier, I had to wait for check out and bill for 30 minutes. |

| * We had a pleasant stay and located in a very calm peaceful area, it is basically for biz travellers and for people who have a short stay with a small budget.. you get value for your money.. * But they should provide Free WI-Fi services after all it costs a lot lot cheaper than when it was launched in India. It would hardly add to their cost. Maybe they should have free Wi-Fi in the lobby sitting area and not in the rooms. |
